History of creation

The history of creation of the PROVG brand dates back to 2009 in the city of Odessa (Ukraine), where 2 young, but very ambitious girls dreamed of creating a cosmetic brand in which every girl can choose the perfect products for herself. In just a few years, their wish was destined to come true.

In 2013, a new brand of professional decorative cosmetics for makeup artists appeared on the Ukrainian market – VG Professional make up. This name was the first, but far from the last.

When choosing the name, the answer was obvious. The brand’s name is based on the capital letters of its founders names, Victoria and Galina – VG. The additional words Professional make up revealed the brand’s focus and target audience.

In the autumn of the same year, the Ukrainian market gets acquainted for the first time with the first line of decorative cosmetics from the VG Professional make up brand.

For 7 years of its existence on the market, the brand has undergone 4 rebranding and 7 logo changes. The desire to improve and create new products has always remained irreplaceable.

Real beauty is the harmony of the external and the internal world. It’s this kind of harmony that allows you to radiate attractiveness, helps you inspire new achievements and charm the others around you.

PROVG cosmetics are created so that you don’t have to compromise with nature and look for a solution to this difficult problem, because the production is based on carefully selected raw materials and special recipes developed by our technologists. These are the alpha and omega of quality cosmetics.

Brand’s concept

The idea of the brand cannot be called unambiguous, because it is very multifaceted. But we would like to highlight the main criteria on which our work is based:
Quality – we choose the best formulas for our products, which sometimes take more than 2 years to develop. The distinctive features of our products – hypoallergenicity, high pigmentation, stability up to 24 hours and versatility.
Demand – we create products that are expected of us. For us, the desires and needs of our audience play a huge role, because we create all our products specifically for it.
Emotion – when we create a new product, we always ask ourselves a few critical questions: What will the person feel when he first picks it up? What emotions will he experience? What will be valuable to him? Without answering these questions, we cannot continue production. After all, cosmetics are not just means that make us more well-groomed and beautiful, it is an emotion, our inner state, which we sometimes cannot convey in words.
Team – one of the main whales for us is people who become a part of everything we do. Every employee, makeup artist, client becomes our friend who supports and believes in us. Everyone becomes a part of ourselves, and often transmits our thoughts and emotions to the whole world.

Production

The first product line was launched at one of the largest European factories in Spain. This line included tattoo pencils for the eyes, lips and brows, as well as lip glosses.

In 2014, the first line of natural brushes of the A, B and P series is launched on the market, which includes 81 types of brushes and is considered to be the largest in the cosmetic market. In the same year, a collection enters the market that includes new developments: mineral powder and blush, mascara, base primer and a collection of foundation creams.

In 2015, the company launches a new line of products: a new formulation of wax liners for eyes, lips and brows, matte lip tints, loose eyeshadows and the first line of accessories. In the same year, the first 47 shades of eyeshadows of the legendary BASIC collection, which now has 140 shades, are launched on the market.

Since 2015, the production has been expanding and over the course of 2 years, including 2017, Italy, Poland, China, South Korea and Taiwan have been added to the list of manufacturing countries.

In 2017, the production of new collections and formulas is gaining momentum. For 2 years, the company has been developing and launching on the market a new line of brushes, expanding the line of accessories, and of course new cosmetic products that become a Must Have in every makeup artist’s tools.

During 2019 and the first half of 2020, the PROVG brand expands the total number of products launched on the market, including brushes and accessories, to 38 collections.
